Green Dream Projects Inauguration 2018:

Launching a Sustainable Waste Management Network After Hurricane Irma's Devastation by Claude Javois, President Green Dream Projects Network and Foundation, established in 2018 and 2024, respectively.

The video below documents the 2018 inauguration of the Green Dream Projects, an initiative founded by Claude Javois in the wake of Hurricane Irma's 2017 destruction on St. Maarten, which severely impacted the MAC CSE campus, including its classrooms.

In response, a temporary classroom tent was erected by the Dutch government, where students, teachers, administrators, non-profit organizations, government representatives, and UNESCO gathered to launch the Green Dream Projects.

The program initially focused on in-school sustainable waste management, particularly the segregation of recyclable materials like plastic bottles, aluminum cans, glass bottles, and cardboard.

What began as a single school's initiative and has grown into a thriving network involving schools, businesses, foundations, healthcare providers, and communities. The Green Dream Projects has since expanded its mission to promote sustainable practices across the island, paving the way for a greener St. Maarten.
